Home Inspection Tips

Plan on attending the inspection. You can learn a great deal
Plan on the inspection taking at least 2-3 hours
Find out before hand if your lender will require any specific inspections to close the loan (i.e. Termite or Radon)
Read through the Home Inspection Agreement prior to your inspection so you better understand what the Home Inspector is, and is not inspecting
ASK QUESTIONS!
Ask any specific questions or concerns at the beginning of the Home Inspection
Take notes. While most the information will be in the written report, some tips the Home Inspector might give to you, or answers to specific questions you might ask may not be part of the Home Inspection or included in the written report, but may still be inforamtion you wish to retain
Plan on paying at the time of the Home Inspection
